Head of Government Sales

Job Summary: The primary role of this position is to develop and expand the company’s business for the Government segment by pursuing and obtaining new business across the entire country. The focus will be closing new Federal and State government business to new prospects by offering reverse pharmaceutical distribution services and solutions. Additionally, this role will be responsible for customer retention and customer satisfaction for all government accounts.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement marketing and sales plan to identify, pursue, and close business from targeted customers across the United States.
  • Actively pursue new business opportunities with Federal and State government entities with a strong emphasis on achieving sales goals.
  • Provide proposals and options that differentiate our services from our competition and that add value to our service offerings. Efficiently follow upon proposals and leads and convert them into new business. Schedule and follow up with customer visits/meetings in an organized manner in order to achieve maximum results.
  • Find and develop opportunities to work within industry groups and other networking organizations to increase customer growth opportunities.
  • Upon completion of a sale, effectively integrate the Customer into our customer service system to ensure services begin in an organized and efficient manner in the best interest of the Customer and the Company.
  • Coordinates project management tasks, including post-audit summary, program descriptions, analysis reports, and any other activities related to our service programs.
  • Researching information to provide solutions and responses to customer’s requests, coordinating customer’s pickup service needs.
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested.

Travel Requirements:

  • 50% travel nationwide

Beneficial Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but not required

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • At least 5 yearsof professional government sales experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent in related work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage internal and external customer relationships.
  • Sound understanding of basic P&L, revenue, assets, budgets, number of accounts, etc.
  • Demonstrates expertise in quoting projects and developing customer proposals.
  • Strong project management skills paired with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Position Type:

This is a regular, full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Overtime and weekend/holiday hours will be mandatory when deemed necessary to meet the needs of the business.

Compensation Range and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $165,000-185,000 USD annually. Actual salary may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, Pharma Logistics’ business and organizational needs, as well as an individual’s relevant experience, education, qualifications, certifications, skills, seniority, geographic location, and/or performance.

Pharma Logistics offers Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield). Group life, AD&D, and long-term disability insurance. 14 days of paid time off, Hybrid schedule, along with major holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day). 401k with 3% company contribution after 1 year of service.
